The terms we weave and sell on

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms cover your use of theautumnweaves.com and any order you place with The Autumn Weaves, a weaving business in Galashiels, Scottish Borders. Using the site means you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.

What this site is for

The site describes the throws, bed blankets, scarves and colour card we weave, with their sizes, weights, yarns and prices, and lets you send us an order sheet or a question. It is not a marketplace and carries no goods from anyone else.

An order sheet is a request

Sending the order sheet does not form a contract and takes no money. It asks us to check stock and quote the total. A contract between you and The Autumn Weaves is formed only when you pay through the secure link we e-mail you in reply. Until then either of us may decline without cost. Prices shown are in pounds sterling and are the prices you pay for the goods; postage is added at the rates on our postage page.

Descriptions

We describe each piece as exactly as we can. Weights are rounded averages, and the colour of yarn varies slightly between dye lots and on different screens. These small variations are part of woven wool and are not grounds for a fault claim, though you may always return an unused piece under our returns policy.

Acceptable use

Please use the site only to find out about our goods and to contact us. Do not try to disrupt it, test its security, copy it in bulk by automated means, or send material through the form that is unlawful, abusive or not your own to send.

Intellectual property

The words, page design, icons and colourway names on this site belong to The Autumn Weaves, except for the photographs credited below, which are used under their own licences. You may quote short passages with a link back; please ask before reusing anything more.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the law. Beyond that, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered, or for business losses, and the most we can owe you over one order is what you paid us for it.

Governing law

These terms and any order are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your own part of it.

Changes

These terms can change as the shop does, and the revision date heading the page marks each change. The wording live when your payment cleared is the wording your order keeps.
